Really excited to travel to the joint BCI Society | Chen Institute Meeting in Shanghai. Can't wait for the exciting set of speakers! Organizing with ASPEN LAB VCU , Theresa Vaughan, Cendrine De Vis, Cuntai Guan and Stephanie Le was a blast. bcici-meeting.bcisociety.org

Thanks TMTPOST 钛媒体 for this great article on the BCI Society Chen Institute Joint BCI Meeting last week in Shanghai! en.tmtpost.com/post/7373552

📢 JOB ALERT: We are looking to hire a postdoc or PhD researcher interested in working on naturalistic #neuroimaging with an wearable MEG. Come join our team! One more week to apply for our MEG researcher position. Applications are due on January 15. 🗓️ caian.uni-bonn.de/en/team/opport…

Really excited by this new study: Maarten Ottenhoff implemented a fun gamified experiment using the Leap Motion and observed that goal-oriented movement could be decoded from the distributed neural recordings. Interestingly, position could only be decoded in relation to the goal.

1/n) Our latest work is out today in Nature Neuroscience! We developed a streaming “brain-to-voice” neuroprosthesis which restores naturalistic, fluent, intelligible speech to a person who has paralysis. nature.com/articles/s4159…

Check out this news story about the amazing study by Kaylo Littlejohn et al. Also contains my 5 cents.

We're excited to announce the Brain-to-Text '25 competition, with a new intracortical speech neuroscience dataset and $9,000 in prizes generously provided by Blackrock Neurotech!. Can you do better than us at decoding speech-related neural activity into text? kaggle.com/competitions/b…

Erin Kunz, Benjamin Abramovich, Frank Willett and colleagues published their amazing study on inner speech decoding from MEAs in the motor cortex. You can find the full study here: cell.com/cell/fulltext/… The NYT asked about my opinion on this study, see: nytimes.com/2025/08/14/sci…
