The Swedish Government has decided that Sweden will apply for #NATO membership. The Government’s assessment is that NATO membership is the best way to protect Sweden’s security in light of the fundamentally changed security environment following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Russia may have started the war in Ukraine in part to keep NATO off its doorstep, but it has had the opposite effect. Finland and Sweden are set to apply to join NATO after many years of impartiality. Sweden’s Ambassador to Australia, Henrik Cederin, joins us. #TheProjectTV
