Jack Tobin and Jack Butler represented the production crew of five today. Their sense of community in choosing this topic and their flair for filmmaking is evident and gratifying.

Lots of sense in this article. Gardens have the earliest pollen and nectar from plants like Muscari, Crocus, Rosemary and Vinca. I'm all for protecting biodiversity which can provide abundant food at peak season for insects. But early sources are vital. independent.co.uk/life-style/ala…

What a day in Cobh. 70 years to the day since Laurel and Hardy visited. Sunshine, nostalgia and good vibrations everywhere!! Delighted to have played a small part in making the 14th European Sons of the Desert Convention a resounding success.

Eagerly awaiting the announcement of the 2023 results on 6th October, but we have all of these to display now, showing just how well the Cobh Community is doing in this huge competition.

Right place, right time. The majestic St Colman's Cathedral, the iconic and quirky houses of West View and a full moon amongst the clouds make for a uniquely Cobh photo.

Delighted to have a photo in the 2024 calendar. Fourteen beautiful, colourful and interesting images of Cobh and Great Island in the 2024 calendar. I didn't have to go far from my front door to snap the November photo!

A long but fascinating read about the impeccable planning and execution of the Laurel and Hardy Convention in Cobh. Remembering an event 70 years ago, this will be remembered by delegates for a long time to come. tinyurl.com/ych9mnfr

An everyday dip for some hardy swimmers but an occasional challenge for others. Others will come along for the warm atmosphere!

The hardy swimmers and shared tea, coffee, tots of brandy, sizzling bacon, sausages, cakes, chocolates, chats, shivers, laughs and donations are what a community is! But which public representative or body can help get this pier repaired? #lovecobh #openwaterswimming #whitepoint

It's a pity that #Cobh, with almost 15000 people seems to be falling between the cracks! No theatre, no cinema, no function room, the only public exhibition space booked out to 2026. And Cork County Council ignoring this opportunity for Cobh people with this building derelict for 15 years.

Back to the future! Repurposing a Savage Smyth crate that was once used to deliver and return glass bottles of soft drinks into a handy way of storing Re-turn plastic bottles and bringing them back. It was also used as a stand for a bee hive many years ago!

Brass Band Music and coffee in Cobh. The 1794 cast cannon, captured in the Crimean War makes a great coffee cup holder. Thank you to the HFC Brass Band New Ross for the great tunes.

It would be wonderful to have similar investment in Cobh so that Cruise Ships can plug in to shore power and switch off when in port.
