Our Science Topic this half term in Y6 is The Circulatory System. The children used learning outside the classroom by acting out the journey that blood makes through the body.

KS1 wore red, white and blue for VE Day 80 to commemorate the end of World War II in Europe. We had a special assembly to help us understand what happened and why it is so important never to forget. At lunch time the children enjoyed a picnic style lunch in the playground.

Year 1 had a real treat when Emily’s Mini Farm came to visit. The children enjoyed looking and learning about alpacas, goats, sheep, tortoises, chickens, hamsters and rabbits. They asked questions about and had their photos taken with their favourite animals.

In Year 5 this year, the children have been learning about the Maya. Yusra has been doing independent research at home and has made a fascinating fact booklet about them.

Well done to all children and their families who are continuing to take part in the Walk to School Challenge this academic year. This term, 76% of all trips recorded were walking trips, a 31% increase from when we started in 2023. Keep up the good work everyone!
