Context of opposition is of course relevant, however today’s performance was long overdue and shows what we as a team are capable of, as well as individuals like Dessers and Matondo who were both excellent.

Hoping this means we are closer to bringing in another centre back, definitely need one more in there for the season.

If we were linked with Hagi as a signing based on his stats the last couple of years I’d be pretty underwhelmed. Legit to talk about others in the club/his party not helping the situation, I just don’t think Hagi is good enough for what we now need, and neither does PC.

That’s a shame but it’s always the risk with something coming up as late as that. As disappointing as it is, it’s not a position we are short on so I won’t feel too heartbroken by it.

Quite incredible that names like Rabiot and Depay are still without a club! A reminder that we could still look to bring someone in that is available, and if we were to look at the free agent market then a holding midfielder and/or centre back would be great k thx ☺️
