For #NPAW2023 we’re honoring the Head Lab postdoc stars! Dr. Lisi Flores Aguilar is a biochemist & molecular biologist with a PhD from McGill University! Lisi Flores-Aguilar investigates cerebrovascular pathology in people with DS and AD. She's received awards from Alzheimer's Association and Fondation Jérôme Lejeune !


For #NPAW2023 we’re honoring the Head Lab postdoc stars! Dr. Lorena Sordo is a veterinary scientist with an MSc & PhD from The University of Edinburgh. Her research includes neuropathology, biomarkers, and natural animal models to study AD. Lorena Sordo has also received BrightFocus Foundation awards!


Head Lab Graduate Student Researcher Cherie Anne Stringer Cherie Stringer was just awarded a Rose Hills Foundation scholarship! She is pursuing a PhD in experimental pathology at UCI, mentored by Dr. Elizabeth Head. Cherie looks forward to teaching the next generation of scientists.


Head Lab members joined the UCI Alz Stars team at the WalktoEndAlz in OC this weekend! The Alz Assoc of OC Alzheimer's Association Orange County continues to fund important work at UCI. #AlzheimersDisease #DownSyndrome
