George Hirst has been without doubt one of my favourite Town players to watch over recent years. He's such an all-round striker. Very few 6ft4 forwards have his ability to spin in behind and link play like he does. Fingers crossed he stays fit all season. Massive asset. #ITFC

A sensible signing that makes sense for a few different reasons. McKenna and Gilmartin like to have three GKs on the books. This allows Slicker to (finally) go on loan for the season and one other senior GK (probably Muric) will also depart. Good to have more experience. #ITFC

Before I see it all over the timeline, there's no way Town wouldn't have offered the same/very similar deal. The reality is (as we knew deep down) Cajuste didn't want to play Championship football. Don't blame him at all. He was fantastic, but it's time to move on now. #ITFC

Nice signing for Lincoln this. Left footed CBs aren't easy to come by these days and by the sounds of it was rated pretty highly by Portsmouth. Probably should had game time elsewhere earlier in his Portsmouth career but can see him playing 40 games + for Lincoln this season.

Assume this would be (if true) a loan with hopefully an option included. Not much else to say really without bringing up the past. Last season is done now. If/when he leaves I'll wish him the best. Sometimes transfers just don't work out for lots of different reasons! #ITFC

Makes a lot of sense. Experienced Championship CB who has Burgess like physical qualities. Now have good depth in the centre of defence, that's one position ticked off for the summer. Right footed centre back who has mainly played as the LCB apparently. No complaints! #ITFC

Baggott was never going to be Burgess' replacement. Ultimately he's not at the level. McKenna likes to have four CB's. It might seems excessive on paper, but we know how much he likes to utilise different qualities in different games. A low risk, clever bit of business. #ITFC
