5 years ago today… In one of the greatest games in HC history, the Huskies grind out a 20-16 win over Meadville to advance to the D-10 Final for the first time in 13 years. Cam Williamson rushed for 118 yds and one TD on 16 carries.

25 years ago today… The Homeless Huskies are ECL Champs Josh Vogel rushed for a then-school record 386 yards as the Huskies defeated General McLane 35-28, clinching the program’s first ECL Championship in 10 years, despite not playing a single game at home.

If my research is correct, it looks like Gavin Zillman broke a school record this season! Averaging 9.9 yards per carry, he broke the school record for best rushing average with 50+ attempts. The previous record was set by Alex Locco-Nielsen in 2014. (9.6 yds per carry)

80 years ago today… The Huskies defeat North East 26-6 to finish tied for 1st in the ECL Class A with Millcreek, capping off the first undefeated season in program history and clinching their 2nd ECL title in 3 years.

35 years ago today… An instant classic at Veterans Stadium sees Harbor Creek’s undefeated season come to an end, falling 21-19 in overtime to Strong Vincent in the District 10 AAA Semifinals.

Looks like HC football will be playing in the 4A classification for the 2026-27 cycle They last played in 4A in the 2020-21 cycle
