David Fowler I didn’t realize how much dotnet devs were into patterns, frameworks, and “enterprising” apps, until I ventured out into python space, and came back again. Im always weirded out by how people measure seniority by how many “patterns” you use and how indirect your code is.

I have released ZLogger v2, new C# fast text/json logger. By utilizing String Interpolation and .NET 8's IUtf8SpanFormattable, it writes directly to UTF8, avoiding stringification and boxing on the log pipeline. github.com/Cysharp/ZLogger

We just don't seem to be moving the needle. I set up #WomenOfDotNet and all it seemed to do was deplete me. If tech keeps losing the brilliant women we have we have no chance. I'm just so tired of the fight, like so many. #WomenInTech hackernoon.com/gender-bias-in…

We're excited to share a preview of a Framework Laptop with a new CPU architecture today, and it's not the one you probably think it is. DeepComputing is creating the first partner-developed Mainboard, and it's powered by a RISC-V processor!

It's been a busy newsweek, but let's not miss this story: China has demonstrated the first commercial-scale passive cooling of a high temperature nuclear reactor with a pebble bed module. They intentionally turned off the cooling and the reactor cooled itself down, no problem.

Our team found a great bug on the apple support forum where they don't sanitize html in the discussion title - in this case causing the whole page to <marquee>. discussions.apple.com/thread/7000532…

If you've ever hit a speedbag in your life you'll immediately recognize this as the most impressive video on the internet. I'm in shock.

Saw this question pop up in a couple of other places and the best answer I can offer is: "do things because you have to, not because the architecture guidance says so" Being intentional vs. unquestioningly following a formula
