At 6-3, the Bears now enter their most difficult stretch of the schedule. . They are by no means perfect, but they've found ways to win games, and now have plenty to play for in the final eight contests. . As much as you could have hoped for in Ben Johnson's first year.

It's a big ask with a tough division slate ahead. The Bears would have to play a lot better than they have against a strong schedule. . If they get 3-4 wins over this final stretch, it would be pretty good, and the latter amount could get them into the playoffs.

Its still so early in the college hoops season, but it’s fun to get to see Illinois with a major match-up in Champaign with Texas Tech. . This and the Alabama game next week in Chicago will be early test for this new group.

Win No. 1 over a ranked team for Illinois this season. It’s still very early but it’s never bad to have a quality win in November. . Nice efforts by Boswell and Stojakovic.
