Building spatial web apps is still way faster than going full native. BUT you end up testing across more surfaces. Android, iOS, iPadOS, macOS, HorizonOS... And browsers too, Safari, Chrome, Firefox. But honestly, you ship faster and update instantly.

Listen up, kids. When I first started showing off VR, I had five huge blue IKEA bags filled with desktop computers, external pole-mounted IR sensors, Vive trackers, and screens, just to set up three stations for a corporate gig. Today, all I need is three Quests in my backpack.

XR that works very good in very specific environments is super underdeveloped. Right now people make experiences that work everywhere, but taking someone off their couch into a real-world spot and crafting an experience just for that kind of location is still super unexplored.

I can’t be the only one who gets frustrated every time I minimize the Quest keyboard only for it to jump to a different spot when it reappears. It should remember where I last placed it whether off to the side or elsewhere and keep it there for the rest of the session.
