New paper: autistic ppl found stimming to be positive when not self-injurious nor stigmatized (latter led to masking). Most felt stimming helped their friendships w/ & connections to other autistics, in part through inferring others’ emotions from stimming journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/27…
