Dandelions are not only an excellent source of food for insects but tortoises love them too! RBJ picked some for Turbo to enjoy, he loved them! Fresh and free!! 🌼🐢 #Nature @5tAndrews @sapsrec #SAPSForestSchool

We’ve been learning about bees today in #SAPSForestSchool, discussing why pollinators are so important and thinking about what we can do to help them! #WorldBeeDay 🐝 @5tAndrews #SAPSEco

I think we use a lot of the words day-to-day in #SAPSForestSchool but we’ll focus on a few during #30DaysWild! 🔎📖🌿 #TheLostWords @5tAndrews 🌍 💚

Some of @5tAndrews eco-council have made posters reminding us to Stop! Move! Check! if we're having a bonfire tomorrow. Bonfire piles look like somewhere warm & cosy to a hedgehog so check them carefully for wildlife before lighting. #RememberHedgehogs #SAPSEco @HedgehogSociety🦔

A single 400-year-old ancient oak produces 234,000 litres of oxygen a year while soaking up carbon dioxide, and can support more than 2,000 species of bird, insect, fungus, and lichen. Nature is amazing - we need more of it, not less. RT if you agree 🌳

ECO FACT: letting your grass grow longer encourages wildflowers to grow, this is great for pollinating insects like bees & butterflies. Wildflowers also provide food for other creatures like birds and small mammals. #SAPSEco #NoMowMay #LetItBloomJune Plantlife 🌍💚 St. Andrew’s Primary School

ECO QUESTION: What swap could you make to help the planet? Ahead of #GreatBigGreenWeek we've been thinking about what we could do, like mend things not throw them away, buy second hand not new or use recycled toilet paper! Let us know if you make a swap. #SAPSEco St. Andrew’s Primary School 🌍💚
