Yesterday one of our Exeter teams went to Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service USAR training facility. This was to refresh and practice search and rescue techniques in a realistic training environment. Thanks to our collegues at stn 60 for the use of this fantastic venue. @NARU_Education #Paramedic

Part of your initial training, with @NARU_Education, to become a #HART #Paramedic You have to complete an extended duration breathing apparatus course at Fire Service College. Here you can see HART recruits learning about #fire behaviour.

Merry Christmas from SWASFT HART Exeter red team, especially to all our colleagues in the #emergencyservices and #NHS who are also working today. Look after each other and get home safely.

Part of this training rotation our #HART operatives have been brushing up on their Swift Water Rescue Technician #SRT competency. Recently #HART operatives from both Bristol and Exeter completed their High Risk Confined space course. This enables us to safely deliver paramedic level care in sometimes challenging environments. A big thanks to RIG Systems Limited for their expert knowledge and fantastic facility.

Very proud of our South Western Ambulance Service team who worked on this response. Commanders, Advisors, Operational Crews, HART & our support services all played their part. Massive well done to members of my team whoโve worked long hours, stayed away from home to make it as smooth as possible.

Over the past 4 days some of our #HART #Paramedics took part in their Level 3 Swift Water and Flood Rescue Technician course in Wales. A fantastic live venue with realistic hazards to overcome taught by our own HART water rescue instructors. @Rescue3europe @NARU_Education South Western Ambulance Service

Last weekend, operatives from both units attended a rope rescue event at Avonmouth docks. This was a fantastic multi agency event with highly skilled people attending and stunning weather and lots learnt. #roperescue #HART #NHS #specialistrescue The National Ambulance Resilience Unit South Western Ambulance Service RopeGeeks

Our larger response vehicles provide numerous advantages, including scene lighting for outdoor operations in low-light conditions. These lights are aptly named "Night Owls." #HART #NHS #Paramedics South Western Ambulance Service The National Ambulance Resilience Unit

Fantastic training with our colleagues from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service Torquay Station. ๐๐ฅ This interagency training is invaluable for understanding each other's capabilities and builds solid relationships. ๐ช๐ค #HART #FireandRescue #NHS #JESIP #Paramedic

Fantastic multi agency work with HM Coastguard Devon & Cornwall Police and Devon Air Ambulance to rescue two climbers that had fallen yesterday.

In @HART you can never tell where we will be next! Today we ended up at a Spitfire hangar! A huge thanks to Spitfires.com for taking the time for showing us around today! We think we need one for the fleet The National Ambulance Resilience Unit
