Attended our End of Year Athletic Coaches Gathering and am deeply grateful for our Hartford Public Schools School coaches. They do more than teach sports; they instill life skills like teamwork and perseverance. Thanks to our coaches for shaping our students into leaders.

Awesome way to end the day, out in community and alongside our Welcome Center Team. I enjoyed dialogue with our partners at Hartford Housing Authority and Charter Oak Health, Inc. Health Center about how to better support our families. The best part was connecting with students!

This week we continued getting ready for Day 1! Feeling privileged to have welcomed new teachers, and energized after engaging with school leaders and staff, Board members, and administrative support teams! And I just loved celebrating the @HPLC summer reading challenge winners!

We can't wait to see our students back in the classroom in just a few days! Students entering Kindergarten, grades 6 & 9, Renzulli 4th graders & Betances STEM 5th graders will begin the school year on Monday, 8/26 (Half-Day). All other students will begin on Tuesday, 8/27. 🍎🍏
