Kudos to Officer Nealon in 6D for identifying someone with an outstanding bench warrant for a firearms charge & making an arrest.

This bench warrant had been with the US Marshals for almost 11 months.

The suspect is now being held & is also wanted by Virginia for larceny.

Bad news: the tires that DC Department of Public Works said they removed from along 295 over the weekend in response to our petition...are still there.

These pictures were take today and are just a small sample of what needs cleaning.

We've got their attention, but we're still waiting for action.

This Armed Carjacking suspect was previously arrested for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle (i.e. driving a stolen car) but the U.S. Attorney DC didn't press charges in DC Superior Court.

We need transparency into prosecution rates by crime to hold USAO accountable.

Here's ANOTHER murder suspect where MPD/victims identified him as the suspect in other cases but 'prosecution was declined in both instances.'

Given the suspect's age these charges were probably declined by the U.S. Attorney DC though it may have been OAG.

Does anyone in DC media care?
