Earlier this morning Janey passed away in her sleep. Her family were with her. The love and support from all her friends and fans during this cancer journey brought her enormous joy. It has also been a huge comfort to us, her family and close friends, thank you.

Janey Godley - ⁦Janey Godley⁩ - an unlikely friend but a real one. A lovely funny daring & delightful person - who rose to life’s challenges in magnificent style. She was very special - she showed us how to live & taught us how to die, with courage & kindness & laughter.

I had the great pleasure of getting to know Anthony well as he supported us as Chaplain during my year on the Westminster Abbey Institute Fellowship Programme. His diplomatic and ecumenical experience will be gifts to the role.

It was great to participate in this inaugural Mass and to give the first reading and lead the responsorial psalm. Had to rush off so missed the photo!

Throughout all the diverse & necessary reflections the Church of England is currently engaged in - not least as we discern a future ABC - can we recommit to this vision with real passion and energy? As so often, we urgently need to remind ourselves of the fundamentals.

To all women invited for @NHS breast screening - the earlier breast cancer is detected, the greater the chance of survival. Please go. It might just help save your life

Professor Chris Whitty (@cmo_england) 's Twitter Profile Photo

5-year survival for breast cancer is 98% if diagnosed at Stage 1 and 89.5% at Stage 2 (out of 4 stages). Early diagnosis through screening means treatment is less invasive and more effective. Please take up your screening invitation; it makes a major difference to outcomes.
