Ball of the Century #OnThisDay in 1993, Shane Warne's first ball in England and Ashes turned out to be the 'ball of the century'. Wisden noted that "never, perhaps, has one delivery cast so long a shadow over a game, or a series"

"We want to put out the best product and the best players," Govil told BBC Sport. "If they are playing Test cricket or something, we are not putting out the best product." So good to see cricket trying to work together for rich owners pockets… bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/…

Fifty years ago today saw Australia meet West Indies at The Oval in the last round of Group matches at the inaugural World Cup. Those of us of a certain age will remember Alvin Kallicharran's onslaught on Dennis Lillee (Patrick Eagar)

Glad to report that the The Authors CC beat arch-rivals the Actors at Nevill Holt Festival today. I'm sure that Alistair Cook would've come along had his own event not clashed with the game...

No-ball called, wicket scrubbed: bowler didn’t say “right‑arm over.” Bizarre scenes!🤯 Our in‑house umpire, Bharat Sundaresan, breaks down the law.

I cannot eulogise enough about just how glorious a day it was at Rugby yesterday. A perfect set up for a damn good game of one day cricket. Lots of family space, scenic, great facilities, plenty of shade to sit in a perfect temperature in a wonderful atmosphere. #metrobankfever
