I disagree. Scale is critical. Bitcoin runs at 7 tps, meaning it would take ~4.5 years to settle just 1B txs. By definition, this is an illiquid asset. Bitcoin IOUs on the other hand, the paper that trades on Binance and Coinbase, are far more liquid than PoW-secured UTXOs.
