Emotional reunion today for Clive Jones as he met the ICU staff that cared for him 20yrs ago. Clive was admitted to ICU Xmas Eve ‘03 where he remained until Apr ‘04. Clive was accompanied by his daughter Katie, ANP YGC. Clive has since experienced the joy of 10 grandchildren ❤️

You know why the narrative of junior doctors “putting patients at risk” really gets to me? Because I distinctly remember crying into a maccies breakfast in 2022 after a shift in ambo control where it had at one point taken over an hour to get a vehicle to a paediatric arrest.

Found out my hospital no longer has 24 hour on-call physio. Terrible, terrible decision. When you need urgent chest physio in the middle of the night, a doctor or nurse cannot just sub in. Nor can it just be delayed until morning.

We should never be asking which patients are "suitable" for the corridor. We should constantly be asking why a corridor is suitable for patients.
