Delighted to have contributed to this special issue with coauthor Liang-Fu Chen a discussion of topological regulatory elements - many thanks to Geneviève Almouzni and Juanma Vaquerizas for the invitation!

It was a privilege to speak at the #RareDiseaseDay reception held at the Institute of Genetics and Cancer with Genetic Alliance UK this week, and to meet people living with or impacted by rare diseases. Great to see my lab presenting a poster about our research to this audience too. A fantastic event!

It’s finally out! The PhD work and first first author paper of Martino Ugolini: rdcu.be/dD5Vd. Congrats to all co-authors Maciej Kerlin, Ksenia Kuznetsova, Hiroshi Kimura, and Haruka Oda for the beautiful work! We also thank Sabrya Carim Nature Cell Biology for the pleasant review process.

Would you believe me if I told you that a single variant in a non-coding RNA explains ~0.5% of all undiagnosed individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders (NDD) in Genomics England ??? I didn’t initially either, but here is the story of RNU4-2 🧵1/9

How do enhancers work over distances that sometimes exceed megabases? Excited to share our work led by Grace Bower where we uncover a unique sequence signature globally associated with long-range enhancer-promoter interactions in developing limb buds: biorxiv.org/content/10.110… 1/

Just published in PLOS Genetics. Luciana Gómez Acuña @EliasFriman Ilya Flyamer 💙💛 show surprising differences in what 3C- and imaging-based methods tell us about enhancer-promoter communication. MRC_HGU Institute of Genetics and Cancer journals.plos.org/plosgenetics/a… ed.ac.uk/institute-gene…

Learning all things chicken development at #EGGED2024 - some fantastic transgenic lines available at the The Roslin Institute! Kasia Milto from the lab successfully mastering ex ovo culture 🥚

Learning how to manipulate chicken embryos from the masters! Thanks Dr Megan Davey marianne bronner #EGGED2024

Thrilled to announce I have been awarded a career development fellowship from Medical Research Council !!! Very excited to get the Williams lab up and running UoM Biology, Medicine and Health The University of Manchester

Want to do a DPhil Department of Biochemistry at Oxford University ? Here is a link (bioch.ox.ac.uk/graduate-about…) to programmes that admit students. Great labs to choose from. Have a look at kloselab.co.uk if you want to know more what we do in my group! Please RT!

I am excited to share this beautiful work led by Ruth Williams with Güneş Taylor, Irving Ling, @ivanferrreira, et al. Integrating efforts from our labs at Stowers Institute and MRC WIMM University of Oxford, we show tissue-specific developmental regulation of chromatin remodeller Chd7
