/ I grew up in a IATSE family. I am from a #UnionStrong home. So It breaks my heart to see IATSE’s leadership pushed towards an iceberg called Generative AI, by trying to pass a contract that allows Studios to FORCE workers to use unethical Generative AI models. Lets talk-

IATSE // #IASolidarity I’m so glad that membership might go back to work, and congratulate you all for all your gains. Truly! But I’m devastated at the lack of protections from GenAi from the contract. Even more so concerned at the normalizing of unethical GenAi models that might come from this.

I understand why this happened, and I hope the contract gives enough power to the members to push back against AI use and liability to the companies. But man, I really hope IATSE leadership takes a long, hard look at the contract. To me, this seems like a trojan horse.
