Hanna Academy students recently harvested cabernet sauvignon grapes from our 141 vines on campus. The students care for the vineyard year-round, checking the drip system, pruning, and then harvest the grapes at optimum brix level. hannaacademy.org.

In the Hanna Academy woodshop, students are building a mobile chicken coop, which can easily be moved from spot to spot, allowing the chickens to graze wherever the grass needs mowing! Fertile eggs are currently being incubated; the new chicks will help populate the new coop.

Hanna Center's fabulous chefs, Jorma and Eric, helped students and staff celebrate Hispanic Heritage Day by offering cultural treats to round out yesterday's amazing holiday lunch. You always go above and beyond to help us celebrate holidays and special occasions!

Today Hanna Academy students participated in the annual 'Spicy Challenge,' which included the 'Carolina Reaper,' which clocks in at up to 2,200,000 Scoville Units. Milk and buttered bread were on hand for those who needed it. Here, faculty member Campos is feeling the heat.
