At 12.50pm we were called to Thornaby where a female cyclist, believed to be in her 30s, was involved in a collision with a car. The patient was assessed and treated by the GNAAS doctor-led trauma team before being flown to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough.

Last month, our aircraft were called out 62 times across our region. Of these missions, 35 were from our Cumbrian base at Langwathby, while 27 were from our Durham Tees Valley Airport base. Read more about our recent missions: bit.ly/GNAASnews
