Recently I've become fond of the Jeff Bezos quote, "When the data and the anecdotes disagree, the anecdotes are usually right." Why does my local Morrisons have the spirits in locked cabinets now? Why is there a security barrier at the entrance to Lidl? When was the last time you

Oh I also forgot about all the signs up saying "Please don't assault our staff" in basically any public-facing business, which must be there for no reason at all.

The coddling of anti-social, criminal behavior by the Institutional Left over the past decade has been a disaster for all involved (except for the select few grifters set up to benefit from the societal decay)

Trump has the opportunity to do a Bukele-style crackdown on DC crime. Question is whether he has the will, and whether the public the stomach. Big test: Can he reduce crime faster than the Left advances a counternarrative about “authoritarianism”? If yes, he wins. Speed matters.

The policy is worthwhile in itself, but more importantly, he has the opportunity to show that rampant crime is a choice. No city has to submit to endemic disorder and violence. The Right can make “law and order” more than a campaign slogan; they can make it a reality.

When I lived in DC twenty years ago, everyone knew that Southeast was plagued with crime, but wealthy people simply avoided the area and pretended not to notice the glaring demographic and sociological realities. Political correctness was paramount. A crackdown is long overdue.

This obviously isn’t my cup of tea, but you have to respect how much character and vibrancy it had, contrary to the sterile, overly generic slop that gets passed off as “modernist architecture” these days.

Testimonials are coming in from teachers about their newly phone-free schools, and the amazing things that students are now doing. Like taking notes, completing their assignments, then talking to each other. "Was it this easy of a solution the whole time?"

The Libs who make “urban crime is a Fox News creation” their whole personality (and there are many of them) always retreat to appeals for more $$ to their preferred NGO grift when pressed on the issue.

Restore US international prestige through underwriting nation building, not in Middle East hellholes but in formerly great, civilized Anglo-sphere societies.
