I went to a neurodiversity event today. Sadly every thing was about children. People seem to forget autism, ADHD… exist beyond 18.

So sick of Abled folk acting like disabled people are children who need to be "parented". How they look and talk down on us. How they assume we are all the same. How they think they know our lives better than we do.

Just because a disabled person has done one thing on one day, doesn't mean they can do other things, or even that they'll ever be able to do that thing again.

I’m not reassured by the idea of a legal safeguarding duty for the DWP to protect vulnerable claimants. They’re already bound by common law to do this. Plus, mental health services and prisons have similar duties, and often fail to deliver. It could easily be used as a patsy.
