In science, Year 5 has been investigating what happens to different materials when mixed with water. A couple of brave volunteers proved that the salt hadn’t just ‘disappeared’ but had dissolved into the liquid by tasting it. Yuck! All in the name of science!

Year 4 had a ball (literally) at the @traffordssp Sports Festival event. They had a go at cricket, hockey, lacrosse and athletics with the super sports leaders from BTH PE Dpt

The Yr 4 footballers gave a great account of themselves in the ISA North football tournament. After a 3-0 win over Kings, a 2-1 win over Scarisbrick and a 1-0 win over The Grange we were very unfortunate to draw 0-0 with Branwood and lose the penalty shootout 3-2

Well done to all of our runners at John Leigh Park this morning. You did yourselves and the school proud, every single one of you. Special congratulations to Isla, first in the Yr. 6 race and Jack, 3rd in the Yr6 Boys’ race

It’s a final for the dodgeball team v Forest Park at the ISA North championships. Wins so far against Preston, Chadderton, Beech House and Brabyns.

Don’t forget your PE kits today Yr 6, 3 & 4, year 1 and Reception. It might be raining cats and dogs but the show will go on!

Congrats to Heyes Lane Primary School who were worthy winners of the Trafford SSP basketball finals tonight. Hale Prep was delighted to finish runners up in a very strong competition given it’s the first basketball event we’ve attended. Brilliant referees from Trafford Basketball Club.

The handball team finished runners up in today’s @traffordssp handball event to an excellent @bowdoncs team. A nail biting final was won on ‘Golden Goal’, the second time in a week we have lost events that way. 3rd time lucky maybe🥴
