Last week, the partnership visited Vlissingen. Currently, they are carrying out the vision 'spuikom'. Instead of holding back the water, they are allowing it into the city. The overflowing seawater during a storm is hereby channelled via a road to a natural area #Nbs Sustainable And Resilient Coastal Cities | SARCC 🌊
We are back from a very exciting final conference of Sustainable And Resilient Coastal Cities | SARCC organised in Southend-on-sea. Vives presented results about ecosystem services related to #nbs. Thanks to everyone from the partnership for the interesting presentations and the great collaboration! 👏 🌊

Yesterday, the technology innovation fair of Hogeschool VIVES took place where the wave tank of Sustainable And Resilient Coastal Cities | SARCC was showcased. The tank shows how different types of coastal defences affect the potential for flood risk 🌊🌊 Interreg 2 Seas
The kick-off of the Raversijde living lab organised by Agentschap voor Maritieme Dienstverlening en Kust and Flanders Marine Institute - VLIZ took place yesterday. This dike investigates the force and overtopping of waves at the coastline. I was really impressed by this innovative research design. Looking forward to the results! 🌊 #SLR
