It was so good to be back in electric flight mode with my old partner André Borschberg ! We celebrated the 5th anniversary of our Solar Impulse Foundation adventure by flying in a clean and silent airplane built for Pilot Training H55

5 years ago, #Solar Impulse landed in Abu Dhabi, alternatively piloted by Bertrand PICCARD and myself, concluding our journey around the World.

After 13 years of development and more than 40’000km flown, we proved that #renewable #energy and #clean #technologies are the necessary path for our planet. Today, the #legacy continues with H55 and the Solar Impulse Foundation Foundation for a #cleaner and more #sustainable world.

It always sounds easy once done. Trust me it wasn’t. 5 years ago today, I successfully landed w/ @Solarimpulse completing the first round-the-world solar flight. From an experimental airplane, the Foundation took it further w/ #beyond1000solutions & André Borschberg w/ H55.
