Exactly. This is reason we need significant investments in foundational, curiosity-driven research - also at national level. Solving missions and developing solutions is great, but only foundational research will provide the truly novel ideas and innovative ways to do both.

Saddened by the decision of the NNF not to extend core funding for CPRatUCPH beyond a phaseout period in 2025/26. CPR has been a resounding success and a beacon for blue skies research in Denmark. Being part of this unique research environment has been an honor and a privilege.
