Prema's Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team junior Alex Powell won the opening round of the CIK-FIA European championship for KZ2 shifter karts at Zuera today, beating Ginetta Junior points leader Freddie Slater. Slater led much of the final, but once Powell got ahead he was able to pull away.
