This is the national First World War memorial in Maputo, #Mozambique. Created in 1935 by the sculptor Ruy Roque Gameiro and architect Veloso Kings it commemorates the Portuguese and Mozambicans who fell during the First World War.

#Zambia please help. I'm trying to find out if young boys of the Awemba community went through a coming of age process in 1911. I know girls did - all I've read suggests boys didn't have an initiation ceremony. If that is the case, how were they recognised as being adult? Thanks
