Here is an offer: If any media house would like a briefing to its reporters on polls, how to read them and understand them, I would be happy to do it. No media house I am aware of, has ever asked for such a thing. Which tells you everything really.

“You simply cannot be Afrikaners, you can’t be. You disagree with me, so you can’t be. So I don’t care about what you wrote, I will devote every ounce of energy to proving you are not ‘real’ Afrikaners, because ‘real’ Afrikaners believe what I believe.” #mentalbreakdown

ANC does this all the time, ‘clever blacks’, ‘house negros’, ‘coconuts’. Simply cannot comprehend any black person having ideas that do not align with the archetype it believes it controls and represents. That’s why Afriforum=ANC. Absolute nationalistic twins.

Q: Have created a series of shape files for JHB for 2011/14/16/19/21/24. They are maps of JHB by ward. Example below. Exciting! Can show anything: party%, turnout, top wards, difference between elections, etc. I’ll do them for all metros. What would you most like to see on them?

As a fun experiment, happy to illustrate here on Twitter, choose a year, choose what you would like to see mapped in JHB, and I'll respond with a map that shows that! One map though, not going to do comparative maps, will save that for blog. x.com/GvanOnselen/st…

Remember the way in which Hlophe was celebrated by MK, on his appointment/election? Now effortlessly tossed aside, like so many others. You are a brave person indeed to assume any position in MK. Zuma is a lot like Stalin, the moment you stop clapping, he will come for you.

To the 5 people who are waiting for Buffalo City, all graphs done and I’ll write up and upload this coming week. That will be 7/8 metros done. Just Cape Town to go. Then we can move onto mapping things, super excited about that. Here the six essays so far: inside-politics.org/election-2025-…

Don’t worry, Afriforum - who care deeply about facts and truth and evidence - will soon go to social media war on this lie and condemn it with a statement. Because they are absolute consistent when it comes to calling out untruths. Just watch.

Does that include Trump’s genocidal tweets? Or nah? Cause yet to see an Afriforum statement slamming Trump? Hey, maybe you could do a banner on them?

Guys, can you help explain something: When employment goes up, ASA tweets a lot about how rubbish the GNU is. But, when it goes down, it says nothing. Surely, if ASA has no economic analysis and reacts fundamentally to every stat, they should say something when it goes down?
