I predicted a U turn on #winterfuelpayment by government 11 months ago. The real problem is the consequences of this disastrous decision in July 24 will impact on long term reform of much of DWP policy on state pension and associated benefits. ⬇️

This is depressingly absurd ⬇️. The economic prosperity of the country has not grown since last July 24. Much better for govt to admit it made a mistake, eat humble pie and reboot.
