肩上(わたがみ)
中に皮革や藁を詰めることがあるので綿噛とも書く。甲冑の胴の肩に当たる部分。皮革製で柔軟な蔓(つる）肩上や鉄製の鉄肩上などある。意外に構造が複雑で多様なので難しい。サンプルを持っておくと修理や新作のときに参考になる。

東博にて。
黒革肩妻取威胴丸。日本画家の前田青邨が所蔵していたと聞く。上手の胴丸でその前は何処に伝わったのか。

阿古陀兜の形状の誇張が強い。頂部の窪みが深く後頭部も丸く張り出す。胴も腰の絞りがきつい。

室町時代でも後期のものと思う。
初期の当世具足とオーバーラップしたかもしれない。

武士の弓矢の威力はどれほどだったのでしょう？

佩楯の革小札、本縫延で連結して塗り固めたタイプの物はほぼ柔軟性が無い板状になっているので型取りして樹脂でジェネリック品作れそうな印象。

A good test at least on the durability of kebiki odoshi. Quite impressive! It seems that 'cutting the laces' do not work as much as one could immagine.

リニューアルオープンした仙台市博物館へ。駒形神社所蔵の伝・政宗公所用五枚胴具足とも久々のご対面（撮影禁止）
約2年半ぶりの重文五枚胴具足は何回観ても存在感に圧倒される。面頬の汗通し穴の九曜紋は忍緖に隠れて見えなかったけど、今井館長さんとお忙しい中、お話できて良かった。
