Violence, abandonment, poverty, hopelessness. The easy thing would be to repeat history. But jiu jitsu offers them another possibility — a new language, a discipline, a tribe. And when someone believes in them, the cycle is broken… and something great is born.

"My name is Thinh, I'm 17 years old, my father and mother divorced because my father did not take care of the family but only drank, that night my father came home drunk and used violent behavior towards my mother. My dream is that I can take care of my mother with my own hands."
