Interesting Coding Assistant use case: sparring partner I kept asking for a design of a feature that I wasn't quite happy about but I only thought of my next objection when the current one was resolved. And on the 3rd or 4th iteration I got the design that "clicked" for me.

Ya know. I keep hearing how AI will eliminate "junior devs," but the same tech requires senior devs to fix, validate, and test the generated code. How are we to create senior devs if there are no junior devs? Just askin'.

Micky The hype is absurd. The same was true of spreadsheets, MS Access, 4GLs, and CASE tools. And BASIC, by the way. I wish people would stop hyping like this, and focus on where the actual benefits and use cases are. LLMs are useful as human *augmentation*
