This is what a full year of record North Atlantic sea surface temperatures looks like in 8 seconds. You can see it all from marine heatwaves to brief 'cooling scars' of hurricanes...

#ClimateChange 🌡️ is exceptional and caused by human greenhouse gas emissions 🏭 We’re causing #globalwarming 100 times faster than past natural changes We are taking Earth’s 🌎 climate beyond natural limits with carbon dioxide & temperatures levels not seen for 3 million years

HAPPY WORLD WATER DAY! Beginning the 17th day of my #climatefast. Himalayan glaciars are melting away fast. And our automated artificial glaciers in Ladakh cannot solve this problem. But YOU CAN... #SaveLadakh #SaveHimalayas #SaveGlaciers #6thSchedule Leonardo DiCaprio 350 dot org

I've never seen so much white covering the Map of #India and SE #Asia. The white colour indicates temperatures of 45C plus. The risk of heatstroke is very high if exposed to this climate for any length of time. How are people supposed to work outdoors?

#Global Sea Ice taking a nose dive to record lows. We are losing over 25,000 tonnes of Ice from the #Arctic per second. That’s a lot of Ice. #Earth's heating rate will accelerate the more #sea #ice we lose. The general public is totally unaware of this danger.

Repeat after me. A habitable planet is more important than the profits of a few fossil fuel companies. Pass it on. #ActOnClimate

Many use the word exponential without knowing what it actually means. One thing that does increase exponentially is the amount of water the air can hold with every degree Celsius (+7%) of temperature increase. This leads to both more (extreme) evaporation and precipitation.
