Ancient Death. I haven't been listening to much death metal lately, but this is my kind of thing. Technical without being tech death. A lot of movement in the music. GJENDØD Heard good things about this BM album, and the hype was matched. Great musicianship. The bass work is 👌

Whilst editing my second novel I noticed a few instances where I'd written that someone had shrugged their shoulders. What else are they going to shrug? Dumbass. 🤦‍♂️

The veg box was extra generous today, with an abundance of nice produce. I think the cauliflower has been to Phyllis Pearce's hairdressers for a purple rinse! I'm not sure what the other thing is!😬😅 Still, I'll chop it up and chuck it in a curry.

My dad used to do an amazing impression of a dog barking. It was spot on. He'd do it discreetly in public areas, and everyone would be looking around for the dog! 😅 I heard a dog barking somewhere in the distance yesterday. It sounded exactly like the impression...Or was it dad?

Darkthrone are an example of a band that has adapted really well over time. They've kept their identity but also evolved their sound. This is something that a lot of veteran bands struggle to pull off. I love their early stuff and the later material, like this one.

Next up for the October Horrorthon.

New album from Wode, one of the UK's best black metal bands imo, and a great live band. I've been looking forward to this and it's very good. I can hear some NWOBHM and punk influences, a little cosmic at times too. Very well produced with the vocals well placed in the mix.

Missed a day with the October Horrorthon, but back on track tonight with The Tingler - 1959. Starring one of my favourite screen icons, Vincent Price.

Picked this up yesterday in town. 'Neither The Sea Nor The Sand'. I didn't realise it was available on Blu-ray, so this was a great find. Adapted from the classic book by Gordon Honeycombe. Excited to watch it. #PhysicalMedia

Picked this up yesterday. The metal section wasn't great in the record shop, but I was made up to see this Tribulation album. My new mini-shelf, display thing looks a little wonky, could be a bit lower too. I'll fix it when I can be arsed.
