First reaction to the moves: It was time for the Jets to choose a direction moving forward and now they will have the needed draft assets to support their next QB along with GW, a lot of their OL, and perhaps Breece.

While a team that is currently 3-9 is not deserving of any accolades, I will say that the improvement both Mougey and Glenn have shown over the last month is extremely encouraging. There is still so much more work to be done but you are starting to really see the vision.

Less than a month after giving Glenn and Mougey some praise for certain improvements in the middle of the season, it is back to being an absolute disaster now. While I like some of what Mougey has done, Glenn absolutely deserves to be one-and-done as a HC, even if he won't be.

As Michael Meegan and Connor Rogers noted on the Badlands pod and Zack Rosenblatt has alluded to, the Jets decision to retain Aaron Glenn is financially motivated more than anything. Woody Johnson is being cheap yet again and sabotaging the org by refusing to pay multiple coaches at once

There is zero hope for this fucking trainwreck of a New York Jets franchise until Woody Johnson is six feet under, sells, or hands over control of the team to an actual competent person, and until Glenn is fired and a real Head Coach is brought in.

The honest answer? Likely not. But start by running DC and position coach searches like an adult. He hasn't fired a single position coach yet and has put in a total of 1 request for a DC interview (Wink doesn't count: he's an unserious name) - that's completely unacceptable.

There is absolutely zero reason to think a certified idiot like Glenn will be able to make any meaningful upgrades to the staff. If Tanner isn’t the OC, then whoever Glenn hires will 100% be a downgrade, possibly a massive one. The 2026 season is already a complete wash.
