Such a pleasure to host Joe Joe Bondy-Denomy at EPFL EPFL Life Sciences yesterday (despite summer break, the room was packed 🤩). Wonderful talk with very cool science 🦠🧫🧪 ..... is there anything phages cannot do/haven't yet invented?? Thanks Joe for the visit and great discussions 🤓!!

Great collaboration DMF UNIL . Turns out that CTP is involved in activation of the integrative conjugative element ICEclc which was studied for a long time by our colleagues Jan van der Meer. Hammam Antar, PhD | همّام عنتر ...gene activation over ~50 kb distance in bacteria....
We weren’t joking when we said we have a manuscript for every CTPase 👀👀 My latest (last?) work in the GruberLab_Lausanne in collab with Jan van der Meer is now submitted for review. CTP is involved in the activation of ICE DNA transfer between bacterial cells! Check out the preprint! 📝
