Year 6 enjoyed watching the auditions for Green Ridge’s Got Talent this afternoon. We look forward to seeing the final acts in a few weeks. 🎤🎭

Year 6 enjoyed a fantastic workshop after our performance of The Railway Children this morning. We learned about the lighting, set design, microphones, costumes and direction.

It’s #ScienceWeek and Year 6 enjoyed celebrating by taking part in a fun experiment about what we can flush down the toilet! We used bottles of water and placed different materials in them before shaking them to act like a flushing toilet and see which would disintegrate. 🥼🧻

Year 6 have been calculating the internal angles of a triangle today in maths. We talked about what we know - the size of two of the angles and the sum of the angles equaling 180 degrees. 🤓🔣🔢🔺 #mathematicians #whiteroseeducation #mathsmastery

Year 6 have been loving exploring Tinkercad this term. Today, we have been learning how to use placeholders to create hollow shapes. We then applied everything we have learnt so far to create a desk tidy.

Year 6 joined the rest of KS2 to listen to Rhian Tracey, author of The Bletchley Park Mysteries. It was really interesting to find out all about Bletchley Park and the inspiration for Rhian’s stories. #authorvisit #limitlesslearninginfinitepossibilities

Year 6 used the VR headsets this afternoon to investigate the plastic pollution in the ocean. It was both amazing and awful to see the effect our rubbish has on oceans and beaches. #plasticpollution #vrheadsets #limitlesslearninginfinitepossibilities

Year 6 had some amazing entries today for the Easter Egg decorating competition! They were all Egg-cellent! Unfortunately they were not all able to win though, so big congratulations to our winners, Alice and Preesha, and our runners up, Laura and James! 🥚🐣🍫

Year 6 have been planning our explanation text today about the heart and circulatory system. It is so good to be able to use our science knowledge in our English work, and we are really excited to see how these will be published! ❤️🩸🫀

Year 6 have been writing their own tweets as important influencers for medicine in the Roman era. They thought carefully about the advice they would give to their citizens on how to stay healthy #historyofmedicine

Mr Davies has been working hard to complete the 2019 SATs Reading paper this week, so that Year 6 can become SATs markers next week in one of our Reading Skills lessons. 🤩

Aspen class are proud to be the winners of the Upper KS2 Golden Bin Award for using our recycling bin correctly in our classroom. We’ve ‘bin’ working really hard for this!🗑️🚮♻️⭐️🏆

Year 6 have enjoyed marking Mr Davis’ reading test today! They were very impressed with his score despite being very harsh markers! 📚🖊️
