Hmmm. I just had a bizarre experience, involving a global news organisation and a trillion dollar corporation. (I got caught in the middle, so... owch.) It’s not the sort of experience the people involved usually talk about in public… so I think I’ll talk about it in public. 🧵
Chart of the day from The Guardian. Wind now 27% of UK energy mix essentially replacing coal in just 10 years. Gas still largest source and proving tenacious. Other renewables important but only wind can do the heavy lifting we need.
I can't believe this has to be pointed out: the reason cars are designed to crumple, rather than be indestructible, is to divert the energy of a crash around the cabin and protect the occupants. If you crash in this thing, the car will be fine but YOU will shatter into pieces.
