Grateful for Fareed Zakaria for the opportunity to share our recent The Wall Street Journal reporting on #USCHINA. Despite the economic costs, Xi is digging in. For Beijing, it’s more than a tariffs war, or a trade war, but a strategic battle that will last for a long time.

Early in my career, I met a CEO and founder in this office. It didn’t go well and I remember sitting in this rotunda wondering if I was gonna make it as a reporter. Luckily I did. Unrelated to our squabble, the founder was convicted of running a Ponzi scheme a few years later.

Greg Abel to take over for Buffett at year end. Remember who reported it first at top of ⁦The Wall Street Journal⁩? ;) Happy Berkshire day to all who celebrate.

Happy for Brad Marchand. No single Bruin has brought me as much joy as a fan. But I’m still not happy for anyone else on the Panthers (except Nosek and maybe Bob.)

Not to give Boomers a free pass but isn’t the death of pensions the main cause here? The end of pensions made retirement safety insecure and so more people held onto their jobs longer. It’s less about ego and more about unintended consequences.
