Anyone who votes for vouchers is NOT fiscally conservative. They kid themselves and their constituents. The future of our state is intertwined with the future of our PUBLIC schools. Love our state? Support public schools which educate ALL children who show up in their schools.

This reminds me of Governor Ann Richards’ statement, “Ginger Rogers did everything that Fred Astaire did. She just did it backwards and in high heels.” 😊😉😊

This is disheartening to read. Contributions are for spreading of the gospel and taking care of the poor. Using funds given to God for a political race is antithetical to the cause of Christ. Every Christian politician should loudly repudiate this. Non-Christians are watching.

Thank you to the legislators who have the courage to do what is right and vote against vouchers in the face of bullying from the Greg Abbott. Vouchers are fiscally irresponsible and will take money from the public schools which will continue to serve the majority of our children.

The future of our state/country is inextricably linked to our public schools. Thank you Ken King for advocating for our children and teachers.

Vouchers are a scam that threaten everything we love about our public schools. We must all come together— Democrats and Republicans, parents and teachers, rural Texans and urban Texans—to protect our neighborhood schools.

Public funds belong to public schools. The future of our state and our country is inextricably intertwined with the success of our public schools.

Funding private schools with public funds is wrong. Funding private schools with public funds is wrong. It’s not rocket science. Once again, for those in the thrall of Wilks and Dunn, funding private schools with public funds is wrong.

Thank you to the bipartisan coalition of Texas legislators who stood up for children, for fiscal sanity, for public education and who had the courage to stand up to the bullying of Governor Abbott and to those with deep pockets who seek to harm public education. Thank you!

To those offended by the phrase “Happy Holidays”, can I point out that “Holiday” is HOLY day. Don’t see the problem. Now, 10,000 children will die today from hunger and related illnesses. THAT, my brothers and sisters in Christ, is something to be upset about. Priorities!

To be clear Greg Abbott you attached vouchers to pub-Ed funding. If you cared about children & teachers you would allow both issues to stand alone, independent of one another. Why haven’t you funded pub-Ed w/out vouchers? It would pass easily like it has in previous sessions.

Human beings died. If you are a Texas legislator and you claim to be pro-life, I need to hear your anguish, your outrage, your anger about this tragedy. I need to hear that you intend to demand answers AND changes immediately. Otherwise, you are just a clanging cymbal.

Just in case you were at a loss for words, now we know why...

If this does not appall you, never call yourself pro-life. Isn’t it incredibly sad that the people who proudly call themselves pro-life are usually the ones who are against such programs? If you believe in God (and I do), tell me how you intend to justify this to God. Shameful!

Until these babies were rescued, they had never touched grass. It was frustrating sometimes when we had to continually clean up after them. But they more than repaid us by filling our lives with joy and sloppy kisses. I’m so sad that ⁦Kristi Noem⁩ never understood that joy.
