Haven’t been able to settle on a big PS5 or Xbox game since finishing FF7 Remake a while ago, so been bouncing between retro stuff & finishing DK Bananza. Then I remembered I had copy of Gravity Rush 2 tucked away! Absolutely loved the original on Vita, & loving this so far!

I had no idea for the longest time that Americans grew up with a totally different #SNES. Still blows my mind. I’m sure there’s a huge amount of love & nostalgia for it stateside, but what a downgrade compared to the Japanese/global original (imo!), which is a beautiful design!

Game completed: Road Avenger (Mega CD) Road Avenger is essentially a memorisation game in a grainy FMV anime wrapper, but that wrapper is such a vibe 😎 That last level can get in the bin though. The timing windows are ridiculously small even if you know what’s coming! 😮‍💨

I’m selling my #PS1 collection. Picked up these 30 games as I got a #Polymega & fancied building a small library. It was fun to do, but now I have them installed on the console these physical copies just aren’t getting used and deserve a new home. Lots of eBay listing to do 😅

My Saturn Holy Trinity? Sorry Gaming For Ages - 𝚝𝚛𝚢 𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚈𝚘𝚞𝚃𝚞𝚋𝚎! but I have to cheat & make it a ‘quadrinity’ (is that a thing??). NiGHTS, Panzer Dragoon Saga, SF Alpha 2 & Sega Rally are the games I’ve been coming back to in equal measure for decades. To leave one out would be a crime!

Game completion: Aladdin (#MegaDrive) My first ever #SEGA Mega Drive game when I got it bundled with my console for Christmas ‘93. I still think it holds up really well, & to this day I have no idea how they pulled those graphics off! Arguably the prettiest game on the system!

Very exciting parcel from the postie today - the VMUPro from 8BitMods! The original VMU is both one of the coolest things about the #Dreamcast and the bane of a Dreamcast owner’s existence 😅 This thing looks amazing and can’t wait to get it set up and try it out! #SEGA

My gaming just got an upgrade - picked up a RetroTINK 5X Pro! Been using a OSSC for years but had my eye on one of these for a while. Already really impressed with how it deals with the Saturn’s various resolutions (particularly high res stuff). Big step up! #SEGA #SaturnDay

It might not have been the first, but the wrestling game I have the earliest, strongest memories of is WWF Royal Rumble on the Mega Drive. My old buddy Chris Robinson had it and I remember really enjoying it, even if I was mostly getting battered 🤜💥

Magazines are the best window into the gaming culture of the past. Before the internet they were our hub of information & discourse. No mag embodies this more than OSSM - the lifeblood of the Saturn scene in the 90s! Loved this podcast from The SEGAGuys looking at the 1st issue!

Virtua Fighter 2 released on #Sega Saturn on 1st December 1995 in Japan. Great to see so many Japanese gamers celebrating the 30th anniversary! The VF series was huge in Japan, and VF2 really cemented Saturn as a force in the region. Incredible port of a bonfide classic!

I generally stick to video games on here & always try & keep it positive. Lord knows there’s enough negativity in the world. But this upsets me 👇 All I see are bright, enthusiastic kids welcoming people to their school. If you see anything else, I’m sorry but you’re a racist 🤷‍♂️

Thought I had 3 Saturns: - 2xPAL model 2s, fully modded for multi-region etc (got to have a back-up right!). - 1xJapan white model 2, un-modded apart from a universal PSU. Then I just found this one! Another PAL model 2, no mods. Time to find you a new home I think old chap!
