While it’s encouraging that a PSC member is getting answers, it should be noted the federal govt, not the state, regulates MISO. Accountability in store? Way too soon to say.

Good explanation of what’s happened. Note that you can expect any higher power costs to land in a future bill. MISO will be pressed to answer why the peak demand load wasn’t anticipated. Pretty sure they have access to weather forecasts, too.

I would be reluctant to call what’s happening “rolling blackouts.” Maybe “partial blackout” because “rolling” implies planning was involved. So would “brownout.” #wordsmatter #wordnerd
