'I wish my teacher knew' is a lovely book by Kyle Schwartz. Some answers were humorous, others were heart-breaking-all were profoundly moving and enlightening. A great first day activity. Heather Aird made this handy page to use in the classroom.

Knowledge rich curricula, explicit instruction, retrieval practice, checks for understanding, high behaviour, expectations cost much less than an iPad or chrome book for every child and are far more effective.

#TRLCONF2025 Next time you hear that teachers are not vested in growing and doing better for their children. Show them this picture of everyday teachers who left their homes and family and traveled far to attend a reading conference with the sole purpose of growing and doing
