This Sunday (12th of January) the Green House are starting up the Herts Young Birders group. We’re running this as an open group where you can meet people and get a chance to take a break from the busy St Albans city centre to do some bird watching. 10.30am-12.30pm

A huge thank you to those hardy souls who joined us for our first ever ‘Herts Young Birders’ event this morning. Our visit to the Watercress Nature Reserve provided a stunning opportunity to explore and learn more about the species of birds found on our doorstep.

The 4.30am start would have deterred many but not the twelve people who signed up for our #dawnchorus walk around Verulamium park earlier. We were treated to a cacophony of glorious birdsong as the sun rose over the city. It was a truly beautiful way to start the day.
