I guess this is not bsd overrall message, I think is more like, everyone person has your own meaning for like, and its not the same reason for everyone, Akutagawa and Atsushi has different reasons to live for example

Ango is the only one who doesn’t take off his coat, maybe its to simbolize that he’s forced to be professional & doesn’t show them his true self? It gets even more evident when u realize he was there with Dazai for a while, while Odasaku just came and already took it off

I think about this line a lot like I like to think that he despite everything everything deeply loves humanity. like I think he loves renaissance! like it's fascinating him so so much. humanity is such a deep part for him and of him, I think, but he still don't see himself as one

I have noticed a really weird pattern regarding Ango’s appearance in WAN when the chapters doesn’t take place in Dark Era, it’s 61, 116, 77 and 177, the chapters numbers are way too similar 61+77=138 its the no. of a dark era chapter 177-116=61 and 177-61=116

I always wanted to see Dazai & Teruko interact with each other bc they’ve been through similar situations, both have been forced to grow up earlier than recommended, Dazai working for pm at 14 and Teruko using her ability to grow up in war But now its complicated…

One of saddest coincidences in BSD is that every time Dazai and Ango join forces and work together, a time-related ability user ends up dying 😥

One of the things I’m more excited to find out is about what happened between Ango & CHUUYA!!! Ango claims that he helped him and now Chuuya owes him, and Chuuya calls him “Doc Glasses”(pejorative I believe?) Also Chuuya calls him a traitor in Gaiden. What did they do??

I find that scene where Dazai explains to Odasaku how he found out Ango was lying, how much information he found out JUST by looking at how wet the umbrella was AMAZING, bc it demonstrates that Dazai always showed signs of being a detective even before becoming one

Anways dazai and ango mourned two losses. A death and a friendship.

Imagine the angst potential bc Ango would try to warn Dazai about how harmful it is to be an alcoholic but drinking was what he did with Odasaku and he took it away from him, he knows he'll never be able to guide him to a healthier life & is forced to watch without doing anything
